ABOUT OUR PRACTICE

Meet Dr. Bridget Marvinsmith

Hello! I’m Dr. Bridget Marvinsmith. I’m a Family Physician, and I love my job. My practice is defined by the balance of evidenced-based medicine and its personal application to each patient. I am grateful to learn from my patients, and I aim to empower them with a clear understanding of their health. I am dedicated to primary care because I believe it is the foundation for a healthy individual and society.

I attended Harvard College, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, (which I maintain is relevant to my chosen profession, as good medicine includes truly understanding patients’ stories), as well as Health Policy.

After working with a variety of global health programs, I completed my Doctor of Medicine Degree at the University of Washington in Seattle, repeatedly ranked among the best primary care medical schools in the nation, having sought out medical school specifically for this specialty. My internship and residency in Family Medicine took place at Brown University, where I was elected Chief Resident and also inducted into lifelong membership with Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.

It is both my commitment to understanding academic advancements in the field, as well as the specifics of each patient’s life and community, that allow me to deliver the highest quality care while focusing on the physician-patient relationship.

I live in the Seacoast with my spouse and children, and I love it here. I enjoy a busy and joyful life of water sports, woodland hikes, coaching and cheering loudly at my kids’ activities, community involvement, gardening, live music, trying new food (prepared by myself or otherwise), travel, and reading whatever fiction novels I can find, with the occasional acquiescence to non-fiction, non-medical reading when highly recommended.
